LLC Application Deadline - April 1, 2025 by 5:00 P.M
The LLCs are housed in two locations: the new FAMU Towers Residence Hall and Polkinghorne Village Residence Hall. Students who choose the LLC option are responsible for the additional housing costs associated with FAMU Towers and Polkinghorne Village
All students must have an active on-campus Housing Contract in order to be considered for membership in one of the LLC
Campus Dining
All students residing in traditional residence halls (FAMU Towers, FAMU Village, Sampson Hall, Young Hall ) are required to sign-up for a Mandatory Meal Plan. Commuter meal plans are available to off-campus students and students residing in non-traditional residence halls (Palmetto South, Phase III and Rattler Pointe), but they are not required.
Each meal plan comes with a variety of Flex Dollars (dining currency) options. These funds are provided with most meal plans (check your meal plan contract for exact amount per plan) and are available to use in any of our on-campus dining locations. Flex Dollars work just like a debit card; choose your items for purchase and the total price of items is deducted from your balance when you present your FAMU student ID card at the register.
Campus Security
The Florida A&M University Department of Campus Safety & Security is the first and the only HBCU law enforcement agency to be accredited by three separate law enforcement accrediting bodies.

Established and promulgated through Florida State Statute 1012.97, FAMU sworn officers have complete police authority to apprehend and arrest anyone involved in illegal acts on campus and areas immediately adjacent to the campus.
Student Life

Each organization is unique in their purpose and focus, but all stand firm in their mission to enhance the Rattler experience. The Office of Student Activities prides itself on offering diverse programs and having a wide array of different organizations on campus.
Rattler Pack Program
Rattler Pack is a course material model that lowers the cost of materials for students and ensures students have access to all of their required course materials on or before the first day of class. Through this new program, physical books will be conveniently packaged and provided to students on a rental basis, and digital materials will be delivered directly within Canvas. Costs will be applied as a course charge. At the end of the term, students will receive email reminders to return their physical course materials to the bookstore.
